CRAZY THOUGHTS :
In identical Twin -India of "Parallel worlds"., there was no 2nd World War and no ' Free India' in spite of Gandhi , propelling a theory that it was War-Condition that generated Freedom condition for India and, subsequently , other colonial Nations ( like Algeria etc) and by any regional political effort of any particular leader.
